The user takes a defensive stance while it protects itself from damage. It also harshly lowers the Attack stat of any attacker who makes direct contact.Effect

No damaging moves will hit the user for the remainder of this turn. If a move used against the user has the Makes contact flag, the attacking Pokémon's Attack is lowered by two stages. If the user is last to act this turn, this move will fail (but will still change Aegislash's form).If the user successfully used Detect, Endure, King's Shield, Protect, Quick Guard, Spiky Shield, or Wide Guard on the last turn, the chance of using this move successfully is reduced to 50%.
Non-damaging moves and damaging moves without the Blocked by Protect flag are not blocked by this move:
- Delayed damage from Doom Desire and Future Sight; however, these moves will be prevented if they are used this turn
- Feint, Phantom Force, Shadow Force, which will also end this move's protection after they hit
This move cannot be selected by Assist, Metronome or Parodize.
