The user works itself up and inflates its own ego while at the same time belittling its opponent's abilities, boosting its own strength and confidence and reducing the foe's resolve.
Effect
Raises the user's Attack by one stage and lowers the target's Defense by one stage. The user's Attack will not be raised if the opponent avoids the move. If this move is reflected by Magic Coat or Magic Bounce, the user's Defense will be lowered and neither Pokémon's Attack will be raised.
